Hey Guys,

I have a question about these units. I got a Go510 for my bride for Christmas. I don't know much about them other than they talk to you and tell you how dumb you are but I was wondering what if anything you can do extra with them besides just getting road directions? Just have the card that comes with it with the U.S. and Canada maps. Will that be good enough or will she need a better card? Can you get a better card? What all can you do with that thing. I have an old Hand held Lowrance and can run it fine but I'm still pretty GPS illiterate. I would like to sound like a pro when she opens it up for Christmas. Make her think she is not married to a complete dumb dumb.:D i know this ain't gonna be used for fishing but You fellas here know your stuff. Thanks for any help you can give. CF

CF, sorry I can't answer the technical questions, but.....just think, this little device just might help guide her to a Cabelas, BPS, or Sportsmans Warehouse sometimes to get you a happy. ;)

(I gotta bad habit of thinkin like that:o)

Seriously, I'd like to have one for our family to use. Let us know how ya'll like it.

I bought one for the wife.. She makes trips to Dallas with her business.. We can't figure out how we ever got by without it.. I use it on tournament trips putting in the Hotel, ramp etc, before leaving,, Works great...

She is going to love it..

Take it out of the box and play with it a few days (then you'll be the expert). Then wrap it up..
