Congrats on the catch. What's the deal with the Arkansas crappie hanging out in the shallow water??? them things can be so confusing.
Where did you catch them? Gold Creek?
Congrats on the catch, they have been shallow down here too.Quote:

The forecast for the next couple of days is up into the 70's. But, snow is likely this weekend.Quote:

Tree line. Thank you for all the tips. Dan was a great help as well. You made a happy fisherman.
You'll have a lot of fun on that lake. The crappie bug bit me on that lake and haven't shaken it since. The best jigs that worked for me were the BPS chartreuse sparkle and black and chartreuse sparkle crappie ringers w/ 1/16 oz jig head w/ 4lb. test. Was my tree still in the water there at the opening of the pond entrance? Take some pics for me next time you go. I'd love to see the old fishin hole again.
Hey Dan, good to hear about the ramp. Did you get the bait shop opened up there? I'm looking to get over there this spring to try my old tricks again, hope to see you then.
Good fishing.
Ramp is fixed and the tree is still there.
