Hey , Has anyone been up to lake Conway lately?
Plan to go this weekend but haven't heard anyone doing any good.
Is it as crowded as it usually is?

Bigfishn,
You need to find Coats80. He fishin there all the time. He put a post up not to long ago about how good it was.
Lake Conway is still slow if your looking to limit out but if you want a decent mess you can usually go home with 6-12 fish a day. They are still in the channels around the pads, but should be shollowing up a bit if the weather ever cools off. When it starts to stay in the 40s and 30s they finally go to the deeper holes in mass. Yes its crowded. I usually lay off from work durring the week and go but all these damn retirees are starting to crowd me haha. Its about time I invest in a boat I think. Good luck. They like minnows less than 2inches in length...silver or pink...and they like red tip white body chart tail tube jigs. I think when the water finally gets murky again they will go back to black/chart and red/chart.
hey ,gold creek finally picking up.saturday spiderman got 17.another boat had 28,with one 2.4lbs,some nice fish.saw one other good mess.they are holding down deeper.come on and get you some!
Finally got some time off from work and went out to Palarm Creek at Satillo. Caught 12 nothing to brag about. I think the biggest one was 13 inches at best. I was fishing about 3-4ft deep and the bobber never went under. They were biting really weak. I'm suprised I caught any at all. There were 3 other fellas that did pretty good on the east side of the bridge. I was fishing the west. Good luck!
Thanks for the update on Conway guys. Still lookin' forward to gettin' out there on the pond sometime soon...
Got a chance to go saturday morning and caught 17 big slabs.
It should get better in the next couple of weeks.
Can not wait to go back...
Sounds good, bigfishn. What part of Conway are you fishin' right now? This weekend is still up in the air, but I just might find myself down at the gold creek ramp come Saturday morning...
It was in Gold creek back in the pond. Find the brush and you would find fish.
I was fishing about 8 ft deep.
It is worrying me to death that I can't get out there this year. Wilhamina Cove is my favorite spot to fish any time. But, you fellers that have smaller craft than mine might give Cane creek a try too. It has been a few years since I was on it. But the fishing was great. The best way to put a boat in, is at the bridge. But, you will only get a small john boat or bass buggy launched there. Trailered boats are just about imposible. I did go in from the mouth one time. On the way in, I tore up a lower unit. On the way out, I tore the trolling motor up. I dang near had to walk back. Good thing my son was with me.
