Recently got interested in "dockshooting". Would like to make some fish attractors like the attached photos. I have a good supply of tobacco sticks but I need some type of device that I can put the sticks thru. Any ideas?

6" pvc would work or a small plastic barrell.
If you're using Tobacco sticks ... why not run them thru a 1gal plastic milk jug :confused: ... then fill jug with small rocks or sand or dirt or quickcrete or whatever :pQuote:

Other than a milk jug ... I've seen, or been told about, milk crates - old basketballs - small buckets w/lids ... that can also work as a "hub" for your sticks (or PVC pipe).
You could weight them down, as previously mentioned .... or, if you wanted to have them "suspend" -- fill the "hub" with styrofoam pieces, blow/spray in some kind of foam (waterproof/buoyant), or something that will help float the attractor. Tie a piece of nylon cord/rope to the hub and a screw/bolt with a eye ... and quickcrete that bolt/screw into a concrete block.

Tom, i've made some with tobacco sticks and just cut a 5 gallon bucket in half and set them in concrete. Turned out pretty good.
Thanks for the good ideas! I will try some of all of them and see what I like the best. Crappypappy, I have been using "Laker Stickgaurds" and really like them! I have always been weary of weedless jigs for crappie but I am "seeing the light".
I make them out of toilet tank floats and 1/2" couplings. They really work well, you precut the pvc legs (17 of them) 2 1/2 to 3 feet long and put them in your boat a piece of coathanger and a brick will hold them down or tie them off to a dock.

These worked just fine, and I used them and promoted them for several years. Their downfall was that the wire loops were so fragile, and any excess bending of them would eventually break them ... or the fish would bend/twist them up, and destroy the wire loop. They are no longer being made, as Terry Oldham has decided to stop production of them, in favor of his Bass products.
Then along comes Grousefly ;) and the tournaments I fished. Grousefly sent some of his jigs in for prize donations. We got to be friends, and I liked his creations. I had a jig, that I had purchased locally, but was no longer being made. I sent it to him, to see if he could reproduce it or come up with something similar. That was the V-wing (as I call it) and I've been using it, and promoting it, since. (bottom jig)

My confidence in weedless jigheads, now, over what it was before .... is a 180deg turnaround :D I'm even confident in using the brush style, and successfully used one to catch this "big Mama", this past Spring :

Since I fish around wood, mostly, and don't have or know of any PVC structures (in the lakes I fish) .... using weedless jigheads allows me to probe the cover a lot more thoroughly, with less hang-ups, and I feel like I catch and land more fish, because of them.
It took me a few years to become a convert :p but, I'm a bonafide weedless jighead fanatic, now !! LOL !!!
