I've seen posts on making structure from 18qt wash tubs, concrete, pvc, boo, stakes etc... So I have all of the above. Do I need a tub for every one I build? Or do I pull the block out of the tub once its solid? If I pull the block out, does it just pull out easily? Or do I need to put something in the tub before I fill it? Also does it seem they land upright? I'm sure this has been asked before, I just dont want to search back. Thanks!

You can also just dig a hole in the ground and shape it any way you want to pour the base. That way you can shape the bottom so it will stand up straight on a slope.
I found a roll of plastic wrap that you use to put down when painting. Tore off a small piece and lined the tub with it. I don't think I actually needed it as the block popped right out of the tub. I pulled the plastic off and it remained in one piece and I have used it for 5 and its still going strong.Quote:

You don't need any oil or grease if you pull the pan off right after the concrete hardens it will pop off with no problem. I had some I made in March that were not removed until this week. They were a little hard but still pulled off and they did not have any grease or oil on them.
walmart bags, trash bags or grocery bags will help you remove them and theyre cheaper
the easiest way to do it is buy 10 of those 18 qt pans so you are building alot at one time. LEt them cure for at least 2-3 days before you try and pop them out. Only fill them about 7/8 full. Once cured, fill the top of each one with water. Then step on one side of the tub and pull on your stakes and it will pop right out. The water breaks the seal and makes removing them so easy. Then reuse the pans. I like to do 10-12 at a time so we will have at least 3 new spots with 4 condos on each if we build 12.
