bad outings at taylorsville lake
i am new to this area been here only a few months :D am trying to find new lakes to fish have gone to taylorsville a few times seems like the boaters there have no consideration for anyone else :confused: they will run by you only a few feet from you i mainly fish for bass but do a little crappie fishing too was there saturday and same thing happened while your fishing they go by you closely or pull in front of you while you are fishing :mad: or have i been there at the wrong times is this common here or not i have fished the eastern part of state and or boats give you alot of space:)

it's the size of the lake, the proximity to the large urban Louisville area, the season for heavy water traffic, the narrowness of the lake itself, the abundance of tournaments held there, etc .... that is the reason for these problems. The fishing there is sub-par, in comparison to other lakes in the state ... but, it's location (and former glory days) still keeps a high volume of boat traffic coming to it.
Where are you located ?? And how far are you willing to travel ?? That would give me a better idea of where to suggest you try.

i live in shelbyville. i have no problem going to lakes up to a couple hours away. i have a few days vacation that i'm going to dale hollow the last of oct. i was hoping to find some close to here.i was hoping taylorsville would be good only 25 min. from where i live. i haven't tried guist creek lake. haven't got to good information about it.they say it's tough fishing.
