Strange Surface Ripples Reported On Diascund, Little Creek Reservoirs

Not to worry. Evidently word got out that these 2 slabwhackers will be visiting area waters and the fish are trembling again. It has happened before.

After much secret deliberating, Thursday was chosen as the day but we feel the location is best left undisclosed.
What can be shared are a few minor details pretaining to the outting.

Theme song for the day will be Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple.
It barely edged out Billion Dollar Babies by Alice Cooper, and Robin Trowers' Bridge of Sighs.

Dress code is lime green leisure suits with matching white patton leather shoes & belt and a single strand of pearls.

Since I share a birthday with MLK we went with We Shall Overcome as the motto of the day.

Thursdays' number is 17, color is blue, and word is Citation.

I've owned a few Alice Cooper albums in my day. I have to say I would never suspect you of being an Alice Cooper fan. :D Of course Smoke on the Water is a classic.

With all the grenades you of in that there jar Jeff,I'm sure you can keep the enemies/spys away long enough to fish :D

That Rex guys is pretty cool. He put me on some Chick river ring perch. He and Doodlum put on a clinic one evening.

Oh absolutely. He is also on my hit list of celebrities I have done horses for.
Not that I put much stock in that but just one of them trivia-fun stats for a farrier. He built a huge place right into the side of a mountain north of Phoenix. Cpl friends of mine were stone masons did all kinds of flagstone work on it, quite a place. Only met him twice and he was as big a drunk as I was at the time. Also did Hugh Downs & Dick VanDykes horses same time frame and area.

I have seen interviews on TV and he talks about sobriety and looks to be a completely turned-around man now. He still lives there and is no doubt in heaven as he is an avid golfer and they were building TPC in Scottsdale just a few miles from his place at the time. (Tournament Players Course.)
Dick VanDyke hung out at the same saloon as me in Cave Creek, AZ and his drinkin buddy was Festus from Gunsmoke.:D Dick wasnt at a particularly good place in life when I was seeing him either. (booze)

Dont know if you follow college ball, might find this humorous. There was a riding stable outside of Cave Creek called Carefree Ranch Stables. They were a vendor for a swanky resort called The Boulders a few miles away in Scottsdale-people staying at The Boulders were given desert riding/steak ride
etc...as one option for things to do during their stay. I shod horses for Carefree Ranch Stables. Well every New Years the Fiesta Bowl is played at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe at ASU, and it was '87 or '88 and Mich was playing Penn St, the teams were staying at The Boulders and they had a big ride booked at the riding stable. The ranch mgr, barn boss, jigger boss, (farrier!)-we were all fired up cuz the cheerleaders were coming too.
I can ranch-geld horses (castrate stud horses with ropes, no anesthesia, the old way) They had a draft horse on the ranch named Thumper was a renegade and had been running away with the wagons, etc.. He was a stud and as the buses bringing the teams werent due till 10:30 A.M. the boss decided around 9 we had plenty of time to geld Thumper before they arrived.
Well halfway into it the buses arrive early. I cant stop halfway so they walk up on this and man chicks were screeching "What are you doing to that poor horse?" The dumb barn boy diplomaticly answers: "cuttin his nuts off."
I holler at the barn boy "go git me a pail of cold water boy, like I said to."
One of the chicks says "is that all you barbarians do is pour cold water over the wound, haven't you heard of veterinary medicine?"
I diplomaticly tell her the cold water is to put the testicles in, we're gonna
eat em, mountain oysters.
Well it is safe to say any notions we had of having our way with cheerleaders or players girlfriends went pretty much out the window that morning.:(
I was glad I was just there shoeing horses and not a ranch employee who had to take these kids out and wrangle the ride, cook for em-I understand

I'll have my secretary call yur secretary tomorrow to iron out last minute details.

It is what is in that jar that will have the water rippling; not the fish trembling in fear.:p Of course, some of the ripples may be from the fish laughing.
