I see a good number of you like a 1/64 oz. jig head so I guess I may start tying them too so tell me what size hooks you like in that head?

I kind of figured that would be the answer, but what about a #6, is it just too big? I would think if you can put a size #6 in that it would be really good, but then I am thinking about getting some with a #8 Sickle which make the gap more like a #6 huh?
OK for crappie but a little big for gills. I catch bluegills on #6 hooks, but I get more with smaller hooks.Quote:

Size 8 or 10. The bigger gills have no problem sucking in a jig this size.
That is exactly what I have in mind is getting some 1/64 jig heads with a #8 Sickle. Maybe I need to consider some regular #8 for bream.Quote:
