Fall fishing is near
I went out on Nimrod checking some spots. I caught a few Crappie , but only a couple over 14'' and one over 12''. Most were dinks today. Did Catch a few Green Carp , biggest was 3lbs . I lost a couple more good Green Carp which slipped my drag and got off. Can't wait for the water to cool off ,it's still @ 82 to 83 degrees. The Shad are starting to move into the shallow coves and the fish are starting to follow.

I agree Nimrod, we are about to get to the fall frenzy. I went out last weekend, caught a couple of crappie, & like you switched over to bass, and caught about 7 in 2 hours on a black/red spinnerbait. On monday, I went to a friend's pond, and the crappie were still on a summer pattern, in deep brush & scattered. still caught a lot of small bass, and had a real good time. It's just around the corner. We need temps to get into the 70's!! I'm ready.

With the shad on the move, good things are bound to start happening. And to tell you the truth, I wouldn't mind wrestling a dink crappie into the boat right now.:D Be sure to keep us updated, Nimrod.
