Off and On
Seems to be a familiar theme with me. Fish for a while, stop for longer, lol.
I should check in more often.
To a great extent, these days, getting out to fish.. the whole shebang.. not so easy. Have a few ongoing health issues. These things happen. And no fishing buddy.. to split beer costs lol.
But I am blessed in many other ways. Have my little woodturning, general wood working stuff, even some Metal working tools, all cleaned up and running again!
It is great outlet, though it hits the Wallet hard at times.
I am mostly home bound -a darn bit too much!
Currently on work absence, Since last October! Outlook for returning to work is improving lately :)
And I sure need to!!!
Being single it gets lonely once in a while, but then again, no one to boss me around HAHAHA!
My Ex and I (37 years and tears married), We get along great and talk and text daily.
In fact, I am taking her some belated Valentines gifts I made, this Tuesday. (today) A Bud Vase turning, wood-burned pendant thing, and two store bought items.
So, once again, after a very long Hiatus, I am having a good, life motivating time with my Lathes, making Coyote calls. Most recently started learning to Cast Resin blanks for Turning.
While I cannot get out to Hunt them Critters. It is great knowing that, those who use these Calls are having a good time!! And of course, Wooden gifts, etc.
Anyway, this is a great place with super members! Shame on me for not reading at least every few weeks!!
take care,
Bryan

Speedyb, my grandfather use to say idle hands is the devils workshop. So it’s a great thing that you’re staying busy. The older we get we tend to want to slow down, but I personally don’t believe in retirement. Always something to do. Rather it for church, those that can’t help themselves, you get the picture. As for you and your Ex. I can’t imagine being with out my help mate of fourty-seven years. She is presently helping take care of an elderly parent once a month and gone one week out of the month. That’s a rough week for me. In fourty-seven years it hasn’t always been a bed of roses. Especially with someone who has always and consistently has fishing on the brain year round.
One thing the Good Lord put in me, when that fishing pole goes in my hand, it’s as if the world stops spinning and it’s all about that feel, that jig, that thump, that cork. I think you get the picture.
Stay strong and keep on keeping on. Praying for your health.
