I’m wanting to get a set of shallow water anchors for fishing stake beds in the spring and also add brakes later. Can anyone share their experience with them as far as is [emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]]’ enough or definitely get [emoji637][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]]’? Also is anyone running the Minn kota raptors and are you satisfied with them? Thanks everyone!

I've got no clue if you're referring to the "power pole" or "Vector" type anchors. But, I'd still go with the longer one, being as it would be better to have a couple of feet more than is needed. :)
If you are backing into a garage make sure you know how high they are too!
I don't have shallow water anchors on my boat at the moment, although my research says that you might need about 1' more than the depth of the water that you plan to anchor because of brackets, setup, and to get into the bottom enough for a firm hold. With that being said, if you park your boat into a garage, if the folded position is too tall for your garage opening, you will need to either lower them a little before entering the garage or get tilt brackets to tilt them out of the way a little bit to enter the garage.
Generally, you can install brakes directly to hydraulic shallow water anchors, such as Power Poles or Minn Kota Raptors, which will be how you deploy them. If you have a Minn Kota Talon, which is an electric anchor that is telescopic up and down, your brake install option is to mount them to the side of the shallow water anchor with a bracket that will hold both and use something like a Game Changer or SeeBrake Deploy to mount and deploy them. You will see examples in both links where hydraulic anchors are installed and have the separate deployment system.
