I am very new to crappie fishing.
I have done it some in the past but not near as much as any other fishing.
I have started to get into it quite a bit more and this past sunday was my fist time really going after only crappie while on the water.
Our lakes have piles and piles of boat docks (Lake Of The Ozarks in Missouri)
So it is really known well for this time of year to Shoot docks.
I went out yesterday and got the shooting down pretty well.
Also found a couple docks that had huge schools under them. But only managed to catch about a dozen in total. And all were caught from the same dock.
But I had a really hard time getting them to hit.
I did miss a few but not a lot.
My question is,
When you all find these big schools like this and i am talking what looks like hundreds on livescope, but you only get a few bites, but you can see them on livescope just looking or following what do you do to get bites?
Are you switching baits back and forth? Downsizing? color changes? or all of that just to see what they want.
I thought I had something figured out on a color change and got 2 bites one after another. but then nothing after that.
Was really a lot of fun but frustrating at the same time.
Just looking for some ideas from you all with expereince.
