Had a few hours free Friday Morning so went out to Hartwell. Water temp was 61. Found a lot of fish heavily stacked on brush. Could pick 2 or 3 off a bed first thing then the bite would die. Overall a good trip, caught 14 and kept 6 over 12inches to throw in oil for dinner.
Thanks for the report. Sounds like you got some quality fish. Sometimes quantity can get boring but quality never gets old.

Enjoyed your report. I’ve fished all the lakes around but never Hartwell. Hope a few great reports will tease me into fishing Hartwell. Lot of views but no replies makes you think no one cares. Is it really worth the time to post?? I’m interested in Hartwell reports. I have a group that shares info by messages on the forum or text messages. Got a report send me a message. Always interested. Keep after em.

Hartwell is FULL of big crappie! I am not very good at catching them tho. I actually seem to get worse at it every year. :)
Thank you for your report. Every day I check to see if anyone has a report. I haven't been fishing for a long time. Hopefully once I get through my new medical problems I will be able to hitch a ride with Uncle Remus.

Glad you got out on the water that 61 degree water sounds good never fished hartwell but like to try it some just don’t have any idea as where to start or where to stay down there
