Something in common
Back in July, I got a phone call from Chucker. He said that he wanted me to come over to his house and pick up his boat. My question was what would you like me to do with it? He said to do what I pleased with it. It had been brought back to usable about 3 years before but then he suffered a lower back injury and wasn’t able to use it. I’ve gotten him out fishin a couple of times and had him come and collect my fish so he could have a long missed dinner a couple of times, but him doing what it takes to run a boat on his own just wasn’t happening. I’d retired in March and moved to TN so it took a road trip to collect it in FL. Picked up my brother in Atlanta and south we went. So JamesDean and I have something in common, we were both gifted a boat. I enjoy projects like Slab does so it was an answered prayer. Now I had something to work on and bring back to life. I have a thread in the project forum showing pics and progress and I’m busy scratching my head trying to get the wiring sorted out. Once that is done, it’s on to the motor which I’ve heard run but it needs squared away. Some of that I can do but I also know when to wave the white flag and seek more educated help.
Many Thanks Chucker! I’ve enjoyed the work so far and wont stop til there’s fish pictures taken in the boat. Right now I’m praying for the time to come south with it come spring and we go get a few in the boat that carries your name. Crappie.com members are the best and Chucker is real close to the top of the list. God Bless.

CDC members are the best!

That's a good friend. I hope you get a lot of good trips in it.

We are fortunate to have many caring, sharing members. Both you and JamesDean are just such members, just something else in common. I applaud and salute Slab, Chucker, and the pontoon donor for choosing such worthy recipients of much appreciated watercraft. May all you continue to make and share such that inspires sportsmen throughout CDC. While turkey day is not far away, any day can be a crappie day. You just have to hold your mouth right, as many past fishermen used to say. lol

When I had to get ahold of my Pontoon Boat ?Donor to get some paperwork signed (due to a major booboo I made, lined threw the date of transfer and initial. DMV didn't want to believe I mistakenly wrote 1925 instead of 2025. early morning brainfart...) I once again extended an anytime he could get-a-way to fish invitation to go fishing, all he said is, just send some picks of some fish, and a Thank You For Your Service...We most assuredly do have some great members....
