Fishing Video + Passing down the tradition!!
This video is just another of my videos showing forward-sonar with a split screen so you can see above the water. (footage from last weekend)
BUT, in more important news, I took my 5-year-old daughter out fishing on Lake Darbonne yesterday and she caught (by herself) 18 crappie.
That's her casting, guiding the jig to the fish using the sonar screen, setting the hook and reeling them in.
All I did was net the fish for her and get the boat close enough for her to make a cast (she's limited to about 20ft).
First thing she asked me this morning when we woke up was "Can we go PLEEEEASE go fishing again today"
My grandmother's headstone has an image of a crappie on it, so I'm pretty proud today and hopeful that I'm passing down the tradition (even with the new tech spin on it now).
Anyways, okay just a long-winded post but super proud of the kid and excited that I might have hooked one of them on this obsession we all have.
