Soft Bait Organization Help

Hello Fellow Anglers-

As some of you know, I’ve purchased a bajillion packages of soft baits from several companies, from Ankies, to Nikko and all the way up to Z-man. I have 4 of these bait organizers, but what would you folks suggest on how to organize them to help me effectively find what I need? I was thinking label one as float baits, next swim baits, then drop shot baits and finally misc. But many of the baits I have can be used in all three styles.

Can you help me stop scratching my head?

I have a Flambeau that holds 9 3700 boxes ... but I guess they dont make it any longer because I can't find it.

So I bought this one for bass lures ... it holds 7 3700 boxes

So here is how I would organize it , all kidding around aside this time …. Smallest to largest…
Main reasoning on that being , I can grab a similar to whatever bait is around size quickly….
Colors and styles wouldn’t be my main concern

Thanks for chiming in there Ketchn.

Since i make my own i use 3700 boxes & put different colors in different sections. I make what i consider good clear water colors for both sun & clouds & the same for stained to muddy water. I admit i do have to many baits in the boat but sometimes the different colors do come in handy.

With my loose baits this is what I do too. Organized by colors.

Harbor freight sells those cheap plastic ammo boxes. I use the .30 cal version for my crappie soft-plastics, and the .50 cal version for the bass plastics.

Somehow they fit the jig packages like they were purpose built for it.

*As far as how to label/organize, I won't even share my chaotic system. But I will note that I have one labeled "current favorites" which is all I really dip into 10 months out of the year.

My method is easy. Dig till you find what you want then don't put it back that way it's out next time you need it. Your welcome. :Rofl

Let me say this.....I AM A BAIT HORDER......whew, I feel better.

Green and blue bag holds 9 3600 boxes with 18 different colors to a box......162 different colors of stinger type store bought baits

Labeled like this on all boxes.

Light brown box holds 8 3600 boxes with 18 different colors to a box.......144 different color stinger type hand pours.

Dark brown bag holds 7 3600 boxes with 18 different colors to a box....126 different color curly tail hand pours.

Yellow bag holds 4 3600 boxes with 18 different colors to a box......72 different color 1 1/2 tube type hand pours and 3 boxes of hand ties......probably around 200.

And beside the yellow bag that you can't see is a bag of 3700 boxes with about 150 crankbaits......and yes I carry every bag when I go....Jumping Jacks Icon
