Hardy Lake???????

What is the logic behind the 9" limit on Hardy lake for ctrappie? Was looking for a DNR study on fish creel and size limits for Hardy Lake but havenet found anyting on-line. Anyway I have fished the lake for years (live close) and as of late to crappie population is very hign but the fish quality is very poor.

You can catch a 100 fish off a brush pile that are 7 to 8.5" long- catching a keeper is far and few between.

Any idea what happened to the the lake and what it is going to take to get it to prodcue 10" or bette crappie?

With all the small fish in the lake there has to be larger fish - maybe a slot limit or lower creel limits????

Its a great lake for gills and stripes, wish the crappie were focal point.
