Thank you for accepting me to this forum. I have a lot to learn. I'm having trouble figuring out how and where to find crappie in my home lake. I anchor up on balls of fish 15-20 feet in the summer. All I get are pumpkinseed. Not sure what i need to do
Welcome, I am moving this to the Main Forum for increased visibility.
Looking at the lake map, I see both ends have shallow flats. Not sure if it translates from Michigan but close to the same latitude if its the one I found in Connecticut. For what its worth, I would long line troll the weed edges you find in those areas in the 8-10 ft range to start. Then work the two ends that have the large drops near shore as tight to the weeds as you can get if that doesn't produce. It's my go to method on any new lake I get on to learn the lake, cover water and usually will catch multi species doing it. Good luck and keep us posted on how you do.
