Z-man Trick Shotz Question

Hello Fellow Crappie Lovers-

Saw this and thought it would be a great lure for crappie but it maybe a bit too long. Is there one that is like it but more bite size for crappie or should I just buy these and cut it down a 1/2”, 1” or even 1.5”, but would that change it’s effective action?)

Go with it, if a crappie thinks it looks good they'll try to eat it no matter the size. JMO

I've caught crappie on bigger baits than that but it wouldn't be my first choice. Have some smaller size Z man crappie baits but elaztech baits but they are harder to rig than other plastics. Good news is these baits will float so when they are on a jig the tail rides off the bottom and looks like a foraging minnow twitched along the bottom.
