Outback Steakhouse Prime Rib Blooming Onion Omlette
So I take my Bride out to dinner when we are camping. It has been a tradition for some time now. This trip Outback Steakhouse was paid a visit as we have not eaten at one for close to 20 years. I happen to drive by one last trip up and made plans to pay them a visit. The food was like we left it, the Blooming Onion is a favorite and Outback Steakhouse serves Prime Rib daily after 4pm. This is my personal steakhouse favorite. I ordered to 16oz cut prepared their way, seasoned & seared with a side of Horseradish. Returning to the camper with the planned leftovers here is why I ordered such a large cut of Beef.

First out of the gate is the filling prep. Using once fried onions can be an issue without some precautions taken. I allowed the onions little time out of the fridge so no sweating at all happened and second spread them out well in the omlette.

The Prime Rib was sliced very thin as no pre-heating of the Beef would be good for it at all. This is a 3 egg omlette with hand whisked eggs that were warmed up to room temperature in hot tap water for increased lightness.

Now to the "Flip or Fold". A single wide spatula was centered and a slow Flip was executed to prevent breakage of the eggs.

Once Flipped 2 slices of White American Cheese graced the top before covering to melt the cheese.

2 slices of Persimmon Bread was added along with some Frank's Red Hot to bump up the flavor another notch.

Trying to get a shot if the layers was difficult but as you bit through each bite the different flavors sprang out. What a great way to prepare to clean a cooler of Crappie.
