New custom bass bait works

New creation which may not have been done before and it works. Poured heads on 2.5" wire shaft with loops on both ends creating inline head. After painting used 2-3 colors of rabbit strips to wrap shaft body. Then tied second tail section on hook which is a #1 B10S stinger hook. Added a painted shakee blade to nose. Had to take one to lake despite the heat to see how it runs and it passed with flying colors. About 20 casts in got a strike but no hook up and missed another on next cast. Was back home by 9am so made four more before lunch. Used #4 treble on second bait in an effort to shorten the bait some. Another option is a single hook with a soft plastic trailer. Attachment 507685Attachment 507686

some of the places I visit would make that there bait wish it dint go swimming , they eat my floats often in several lakes and ponds I visit and to be sure they would likely hammer something like that running along the surface .

With that hair they should work well. They sure do look good.

Wrong bass in picture, caught four on the slider worm before sun and heat chased me off. Definitely something worth spending more time with. The entire bait ripples and shimmers in the water and runs straight. Going to order more forms and hope they have shorter ones.

The form that I'm using is a Hammered spoon wire form. Did a couple baits with a hook tied into the body of the jig so I have two hooks in them, hoping to increase hooking % instead of just a single hook in the tail. Attachment 507744Attachment 507745
