I've fished Bay Springs Lake a few times without luck.
On the water early and off early is the only way I can take it anymore. Nice mess…
I only minnow fish there . Tried several times with 1/100 or 1/80 oz. jigs . only a handful each time .Quote:

Good Post. Same thing on Ross Barnett. When I went at daylight I caught very well but by 11am it was really very over. I could find a bite here and there but all small.
Never caught doodlum squat at Bay Springs.
keep sun in your face as the shadow seems to spook fish . Also minnows will allow a heavier weight to keep slack out of line so they cant spit bait before you see/feel the bite . Mainly the fish will come out of the brush to hit minnows better than a jig jmo .
