of course he knows me and was playing with me a bit at the time .
he said they are not biting , I said hmmmm thats odd .....
possibly the high water coming up from the rains ?
they were biting ok the other day during a lake level rise ......
I dropped a jig right in front of him and then ....KABOOM
a micro crappie ,,,,,then another micro crappie ....
I continued to KABOOM and they were tiny ones for sure ...
but as we chatted , he said , my friend did ketch a couple , but they were all lil ones ....
I said hmmmmm again .... and finished up with " not even any keepers" ?
He said nope , just 5 to 8 inchers ....
and from what was coming up from the blue lagoon , I would have agreed totally .....
of course I was just there to ketch a few and big or lil , I am all good ....
I just got to ketch fish , size don't matter to me when it comes to ketchn fish .....
Then as it often happens ....K A B O O M .....up comes a nice 13 incher ....
then another nice fish and then yet another ......
and I let him get a few images to show his bud who said they were ALL lil ones ....:Rofl
now mind you this part .....more often than not , there were big fish down there , up under the crowds of lilz .....and sure enough ...me sets the hook and KABOOM ....
up comes a dandy 15 inch summertime crappie ....:cheers2
and he said ..." I HATE YOU ! " ......rotflrotflrotfl
I used black and chart Arkie solid body tube on a Jungle Jim 3 d eyed jig head ,due to the water clarity and or lack of ....
pitched out and returned in a pendulum style fall back towards a pvc condo ...
12 fow and the big fish were parked down deep on the cover ....
the bite was past soft about 27 miles and you had to be on your game to ketch those sneaky devils , 35 fish or so later I only got one definitive "bite"
individual results may vary ,,,,,yet another fact ...
try to keep in mind this about that though ....
KABOOM is always near ...:Cowboy
