Who is looking at you?
Got out early yesterday and hit a river spot. Caught one crappie that hit a 3/16 bunny underspin with a 2/0 hook. Not very big but almost swallowed it too deep. Heard about a small pond that had some bass so started walking up a long hill to the pond. I noticed a bird ruffling it's feathers not far off the path and got close enough to snap a picture before it flew off. Only the second owl I've ever seen in the wild. Found the pond after the mile plus uphill walk. Couldn't get anything to bite so headed off to hit another lake on the way back. Gills were on fire there and willing to eat the little duck jig. Would have been a good video. Probably caught over 50 in a little over an hour. Attachment 505803Attachment 505804Attachment 505805Attachment 505806

Good to find a few after a good long walk. I saw a lot of owls when I lived further south, but then I was living in some swampy areas. They’re extra cool and make a lot more noises than hoot. This one wanted my bluegill.
