Things happened
All the planets aligned and I was able to get my drivers license. It’s not nice to make retirees jump thru hoops. This in turn let me get my lifetime fishing license. So now I’m able to make short trips to land based spots and I went to one today. My daughter and I rode over to the Normandy spillway to see who was home. Daiwa Trout X 6’ rod with a 1000s legalis with some 4.2lb Varivas braid with the same 1/32 white rooster tail with a single hook. Fourth cast I got a nice hit that yielded and acrobatic 8” rainbow trout. Fun little dude and back he went. A few minutes later another thump gave me a five inch gill. Been a lot of years since I’ve been here, good to be back. Tried a few spots and the bite was there but not anything to be excited about. Fished about 45 minutes and finished having caught 2 rainbows and the second a little bigger, and two gills about 5” each. I got eleven tons gravel delivered Tuesday and while I didn’t move it all it sure feels like I did. Finished moving it on Thursday and I still hurt. About 10 shovels full of gravel into the job of many more and the muscles between my sacrum and ribs started screaming in protest and still haven’t laid down. I know they’ll recover soon but I forgot what getting out of shape feels like. Also got the boat registered and the truck all set up so now, if I can move and the wind lays down, I can go get the boat wet and see who’s around. I’ll keep y’all posted. Here’s a couple of pics Jessie took, more to come soon……..Skeet

Glad you’re able to get everything straightened out finally.
I know all about them aches and pains from doing stuff that was simple and easy before fathers time snuck up on us .
Hope you heal quickly and get after them on a regular basis.
