5/12/2025 Water is Heating Up and They Are Too

Made a quick trip to check out the new 56 transducer install and caught some thick black slabs!! All caught on Bobby G monkey milk. Water temp 73 F and falling very hard. Towed in a stranded boater and was surprised at the large number of boaters on the water on a Tuesday. They added new official NO WAKE zone signs at the Main Street launch and at the Trace Bridge. It's now a
NO WAKE ZONE from north of Main Street launch to past the Trace / Railroad bridge. The St. Tammany Sheriffs Office were patrolling this area in their boat yesterday.

Sounds like a good time. How did you like the new transducer?

Garmin sent me a new one because the 3 month old one started acting strange. I really like the quality images of the Garmin 56 transducer.

Since you guys are talking transducers. I have an older Garmin Echomap [emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji639]sv. Let’s just say my weakness is technology would be the truth of the matter. But is my fault as I don’t keep up.
What’s the best transducer for these units. One thing is for certain back in the early to mid years [emoji638][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]]- [emoji638][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]][emoji637][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]] I had a Hummingbird with side and down imaging. I could spot fish and bait fish much better than with my Garmin. Could this be due to the transducer?

Ok since this is all jacked up on last post let’s make it short and sweet. I have a Garmin Echo map ninety three sv. What’s the best transducer to run for side and down imaging. Hate the way this site does with numbers. Again I am sure it’s the operator not the site!
