Looking for suggestions for a durable larva / nymph jig body. I currently am using an effective but very soft 1” jig body but the bluegill bite the tail off real quick and I’m going though too many of them.

I use a size 10’ Mustad jig hook , a 4mm tungsten slotted bead , with a wrap of small chenille shine the bead for a collar . The I add a mini Trout Magnet body . I’ve caught several fish on a single tail before needing to put on a new one .
Can mix and match collars and tails .
I’ve caught a variety of fish on them including some nice shellcracker.
You can check with Bob Jigs and see if he has any molds and would pour you some with a more durable plastic.
I like soft bodies even though they year up easy. I think the fish hold ‘em better. You might try some from mule fishing tackle. Their stuff is like Zman stuff and it is buoyant. Jighead sits on the bottom and the body floats mostly vertical and the gills suck it up with abandon.
You could use the nikko caddisfly. It is that elaztech type material and they work great. Not cheap and they aren’t as easy to rig as that stonefly immitation you are using. I kill the trout on that same stonefly you have in your picture but I get them poured in different colors.
