Nearly murdered Saturday
Wife and I went fishing, although we’ve already caught fish on crankbaits this year, I decided to introduce her to something a little more laid back, longline jigs.
Now she has been handling the conventional linecounters for awhile now, and does well. Well, never mind holding a planer board for me to unclip three feet out of my reach occasionally. But this was her first rodeo with 10,12, and 14 foot rods and spinning gear. Not long after dropping in, got a fish on her side, getim I says. Next thing I know, shes got the rod and reeling it in. Upside down. At least she was turning the handle backwards and gaining line.
I bust out laughing and start jabbering TURN IT OVER TURN IT OVER BEFORE SOMEONE SEES THAT! I told her I was gonna put a paper bag over my head. Lucky all weapons were out of her reach.
My fault for lack of instruction I know, just caught me off guard.
If I ever come up missing, or unexpectedly deceased, just know she probably did it, and I was probably asking for it [emoji23]
