Kayak Trip Report, Ditto Landing

I made a short trip this morning to the Ditto Landing Boat Harbor back slough. Put 12 in the cooler and returned 9 larger Crappie. The slough is full of shade and 4 inch white Crappie. I must have returned a hundred of the little suckers. I ended up giving my fish to a couple bank fishing but not as successful as my trip. All fish came of spider rigging with the fish scattered and suspended four to five feet deep in 6 feet of water. Visibility of about 18 inches and 69 degrees. All fish had spawned out but looked fat and healthy.

I returned to Ditto after work on Wednesday. Only had about three hours but kept 12 with may short fish returned. Bite was hard with fish hugging the bottom. The water had dropped two feet and warmed to 80 degrees.

I had one less than I thought, but not back for a short after work trip.
