I have a question for you. Do any of you use a lighted magnifier when tying??? I have new tri-focal glasses and do see better with them, but miss fine detail at the same time. Guess I'm looking for suggestions on where to get one, power of magnification, etc. Thank you. Eric
Harbor Freight sells a lighted gooseneck lamp. I use mine a lot.

I've thought about using a magnifier but haven't yet. I do have to wear my glasses though when tying now. A bright light and background is a big help too.

might look into jewelers head band visors type as they have multiple powers and you flip up out of way when not needed
I have to wear readers for anything within arms length. I bought a pair of flip up 2X clip ones that make it work fine for tying and building rods. I think I got them at Hobby Lobby.
