according to them, they are a species of the LEAST concern and growing in population ! :yikes
It befuddles me and angers me at the same time , they really tear fish up ....
and it has been getting worse every year for a long time now ....
nothing more than a pack of coyotes on sheep ....
some would argue they are just doing what they do ....
some would go so far as to say mankind shouldn't interfere
one thing for certain , they swim as well as an otter .....
eat more than an otter and can hold their breath about forever .....
no fish are safe from them and to be sure, WAY high on the list are crappie as a food source .....
it makes me very unhappy to see crappie with big gashes on them .
in a lot of cases some of the fish have been bit by them more than once from different angles as well .....
