the excitement of the spawn
happens every year , everyone that has fished for crappie and or is about too, is excited about it , and throw a few fish in the mix and just wow ,let the good times roll .....:highfive
so here we go , I roll up to a spot , there is a fella sitting there with 2 crappie in his bucket. ...:cheers2
and he proceeds to share with me all the particulars on the when, where and how to and what bait and the list goes on ......and he has been there for 3 hours and knows for sure what he is talking about .....
they will ONLY bite black and green according to him and he has tried every color in his box ....
I said well thanks for all the tips bro and went to it .....
tied on a powder blue head jig , put on a solid body Arkie red body light chart tail ....
and then .....
KABOOM ....just like magic ,all the sudden it began to rain big crappie all over the place ....:yikes
go figure , right :Rofl:biggrin
p.s. lots of fish that trip ALREADY had holes in them lips , not sure if it was me from some other day or fish that got let go , or fish that got away ....:dono
AND yes between me and them fish hammering my jig ,my pretty powder jighead lost lots of nail polish by the time I said goodbye
