My old and trusty LMS 332C I have on the bow finally bit the dust! I mainly use it for finding brush piles and crappie fishing these days.
I can't quite stomach the expense of a LiveScope unit, but would love to have a little more than just sonar.
Opinions? Suggestions?
I’d check bass pro they usually have sales. Hard to beat 93sv for a good fish finder. Plus it’s livescope compatible if you ever decide to upgrade or run across one used. :twocents
Check out the Lowrance Elite FS line. Very good units for the money IMO.
Any will work fine.If you ever plan on ( even if you don’t plan on) buy a unit that has capabilities to link to their brand or others trolling motors, if you never use it for that fine….But if your trolling motor dies or you ever run into deal (new or used) on a trolling motor, you already have half the puzzle solved.
As mentioned above but my two cents for what it is worth, I would go with the Humminbird Helix Gen 3 or Gen 4 in the biggest screen I could afford 10 inch minimum. This gives you some options Mega 360 and Gen 1 Megalive which both can be had for pretty cheap now. I have both and my Megalive Gen 1 I am more then satisfied for how it performs for me and the Mega 360 makes using the Megalive even easier in finding structure and suspended fish then fishing that structure or fish with Megalive.
