11 1/4 diameter, 16 1/8 long.
Gotta turn part of it down to 10 3/4, the rest to 9 inches. Then drill and bore a stepped hole 7 1/4 and 4 through.
Leaving about 1/32 on sizes, goes out to heat treat then back to me to finish. .001 finish tolerance,
H-13 tool steel.

that's a big hunk of steel for sure I don't miss working on that stuff at all (40+ years as CNC machinist) just remember to wear your hearing protection and use lifts whenever available
That is a big chunk. I always enjoyed manual machining. Never really took to the CNC world. Did run a water jet for a while. Nasty gritty thing
I was a little concerned with this thing because it was a really rough turned piece of stock, a little egg shaped - so I chickened out and put it on a mill, found center best I could, and put a nice deep center drill hole in it before going to the lathe. Gonna get as much weight off as I can before backing off the tailstock to start drilling.
