1st Post, Ouachita Ox-bows and drains (Late Feb)

Hello everyone. This is my first post.
Just wanted to say hello and post some fishing reports.

Been lurking this forum for a long time, first post here.

Since that last big rain last week, I caught 8-10 nice bass on a road-side drain on the Bushley.

Caught some nice perch in Wallace this weekend, few and far between. Natural color jigs with black heads, 12-14ft water.
Roaming fish, not yet moving up, but full of eggs.
Water temp on Wallace today was 57deg.

I would like to talk to some of yall perch jerkers!

Caught this one 3/2/25 in about 14fow. Roaming about 8-10ft about 3pm.

Welcome to the Site!! I fish Wallace a bit also. I have been training my lab lately, and I haven’t been fishing. I will get back to it soon. Lots of good places to fish around here. My favorites are Wallace, Louie, and Larto. But there are plenty more good places nearby.
