Whistling jigs
I call them WHISTLERS because after I finish tying them I turn them towards me and blow on the head to see how it spins and if everything is trimmed right with nothing around the propeller it makes a whistling sound. I love blade baits and these are the only ones I use when water is cold. Blades are 9/16" with a 3/32 bead. I’m sure those work good. If I’m casting I prefer something like a road runner for the blade. Those would be awesome too. :highfive

This is the most versatile blade bait that I make. Only blade bait that I fish under a float, casting without as well. After spring rains vertical jigging flooded timber is fantastic. I only wade or bank fish but these would be great trolling or with live scope. Really haven't used soft plastics with them but tied up a few to slide a soft plastic on.
