Trip to the North River Saturday. COLD!!! But worth it!

Sorry,I can’t figure out how to flip these pics on here lol. Broke ice for about 45 minutes to get out to open water on Sa. It was worth it. Caught a ton of fish with the boys. We only kept enough to feed the Family. We let any perch full of eggs go. Kept the males or spawned out fish. The stripers are thick down on the south end of the North River in just about all the creek mouths. Everything was caught on minnows/spider rigging. Was a cold start for sure lol. Hope everyone caught a couple this weekend.

Nice catch. Interestingly, years ago the marine biologist showed up at one of our bashes on the NWR and told us that it is better to keep the females and release the males as the males guard the nest and without them the eggs have no chance.
