GPSMAP 76...Very good unit..
Do you need a map unit or just something to mark waypts and tracks? I have a Garmin GPS 72 and GPS 76 and they do fine for just waypts, tracks and speed.
I have a Garmin 72 and a 76S both do everything I need, but a friend of mine has the Garmin 76CX it is awesome that is the one I would buy if I wanted a new one.
I got a Garmin 276C. Paid $600.00 for it. I will let it go for a $1000.00.
I think CP is trying to say he likes it :D :DQuote:

Just make waypoints and track! I agree, Wannabe I think he likes it.
Garmin GPS Map60 CX http://www.abesofmaine.com/item.do?i...60CX&l=BIZRATE
This is the cheapest I could find, free shipping too. This is the one I want, the wife has the 60CSX but it has all the extras with some things not needed.
These are awesome units! They keep sattelites in heavy tree or canyon cover, and you can buy chips with the maps to go in them. Check it out.
We use ours for geocaching, mostly.
