Bought 2 Garmin 106sv for the bow. One transducer on TM and the other for maps. It has Navionics maps on it. Mostly fish Ky and Barkley lakes that have fluctuating levels. Tried finding the offset level to adjust and have watched mult. Videos. Pretty simple process but on my units there is no water offset selection. I do not have a subscription to Navionics and was wondering if this was needed to access this and other features?

:dono ... but I would think a depth offset would be in the software of the unit, not the Navionics maps. Personally, neither my Garmin/Livescope nor my Lowrnce Hook7 unit displays the same depth, even though both are on the TM, so I just mentally add 1-2' of depth to the unit's depth reading to know the actual depth from surface to bottom.
Here's what Google AI says : To adjust the depth offset settings on a Garmin 106sv, navigate to "Settings" > "My Vessel" > "Depth and Anchoring" > "Keel Offset"; this setting allows you to compensate for the distance between your transducer location and the boat's keel, effectively displaying the depth from the bottom of the keel instead of the transducer position.

Keel offset (like Pappy indicates) (or Depth offset in Humminbird) adjusts the digital depth reading to compensate for how deep the transducer is under the water’s surface ...
Water Level offset (in Humminbirds) adjusts the spot sounding numbers displayed on the map contour lines ...
I do not know if Garmin has a Water Level offset setting ...

Garmin will sell you an Ultra card that will allow for offset due to water shed.

I have the 93sv but didn’t buy the navionics card. I just have a fast microSD card in it to save everything lol
But I think the below should help as this is what I do to change what you record (if you do), your display (above or below full pool of chart) and the community map display.

Your units have built-in Garmin Navionics+, which does not have the Dynamic Lake Level feature. To get this feature along with all other premium features (relief shading, satellite imagery, and others), you must purchase Garmin Navionics Vision+ mapping. See link below:Quote:

So looks like I will need a Navionics card to put in my unit kinda like the Lakemaster card for my HB. I looked up that card and it was $249. May check at Bass Pro and Cabelas to see if cheaper. Pretty expensive but our lakes vary abt 5’ from winter to summer pool. Navigation with correct water levels on the maps makes it much easier to avoid a mishap.
