Best winter fishing gloves

MDC finally restocked lakes with Trout so got out and got the band back together. Mac actually found out they did and he's been doing his bait ball thing and whacking them. But I got out there next day with my guys but my darn hands got so cold so fast I couldn't tie a spinner on or do hardly anything so didn't stay long.

In a comical twist Mac actually gave me two trout so I could have a meal and it's usually me giving him trout or crappie. Think it's my poor circulation that is causing the hands to freeze so quickly. Went back today and did better.

Still what are the best gloves for fishing in winter you guys have experienced? really need to get ones that keep my hands warm and still able to cast. Anyone have a suggestion?

I like the mitten ones that fold in half to expose fingers. When your fingers get cold you can flip them on and warm you fingers. They usually have room to put a toe warmer in and really warm up fast. The half gloves that look like exercise gloves work well when it is just chilly. Glad to hear you're back at it.

Never found anything I really like so I just use cheap jersey gloves and have several pair then I switch when the get wet or stinky or both.

Pair of hand warmers in you pockets.

actually have a pair of those but when I'm casting they are awkward.

I've tried everything from expensive Aftco gloves to neoprene to jersey gloves. Can't beat the Jerseys. Cheap and easily washable. If I get a hook in them, yank it out with pliers and keep going. I'll still probably try other gloves in the future, but for now, I keep about 6 pairs of Jersey gloves in my boat.

I agree with Richard, of course hand warmers are really nice.

My all time favorite cold weather glove is made by IceArmor. You can submerge it and your hands will not get wet! I've had my 2nd pair for 15 years or more. Just don't touch them to the exhaust on your auger, they'll melt. LoL

thanks guys. I bought a pair from BSP that are light but warm enough for a while that I can cast with.

Was a church dinner when I noticed my two fingers on both hands were white and a buddy said hey you got frostbite and spent next two days keeping them under Luke warm water and wearing gloves around house and they have returned to normal. He said it would take a week or so to notice the effects which it was.
