Here is my latest try at a shad minnow, in miniature size. It started as a 1/32 oz inside tube jig...

Looks pretty good. I can see improvement on them. Seem pretty tricky to tie them.
It's not real easy, but not really hard. I was finally able to buy a few, and looked how the wool body was tied on, shaping the body. one would think with what the bodies made from, it would be soft, but the glue makes them hard. Maybe just brushing some UV flex over the outer fibers and setting it before it penetrates through?? so the outer fibers are semi stiff yet the material under is soft??? will try that theory out.
I was figuring they were hard with UV or something from some of the flies I’ve seen tied.
That's a nice color combination in the body.
You've about got it figured out.

I really like that jig head as well. Good job :ThumbsUp
Wow.. I'm a little late with this, but I think it's coming along pretty good as well. For me, it's tying the shape that can be a little tricky but the wool material I use makes it a little easier for tying. I like the shape as well.
Interesting looking jig. I don’t know what or how your making this so wi only say what I started with.

I wanted it to be a bit stiff, yet flexible on the skin part, but the material soaked up the resin quick even brushing it on lightly...then became stiff. Still going to get them wet, including ones I got from Crappieguy82. I haven't yetas I twisted my knee and the tendons have been giving me fits...Hopefully, when it warms up...
