A tough day
One we hate to see come and are never truly ready for. Every one of us has to face it. Today my dad went to be with the Lord. Like so many others, my dad was my best friend, my hero, my teacher in so many things. He implanted his love for all things outdoors. He taught me to hunt and fish and no matter how many times we went, I always managed to learn something new, especially when it came to the fishing. I can remember sitting in the back of the boat watching him catch one after another and me not catching a thing. That changed through the years, us giving each other a run for our money. The past several years our places changed in the boat, he wanted me to run the trolling motor so he could sit back and catch all the fish he would say. I would catch a few and usually catch him just watching me, with a smile on his face, and then tell me where to put my jig to catch the next one. His lessons will be with me forever. I know he will have a smile watching me from Heaven hit all the cypress knees, stumps, logs and such that he showed me throughout my life. I Love You Dad.

Sorry for your loss. It’s never easy losing a parent but he lives on inside you. Every time I go fishing I think of my dad as I’m sure you will think of yours. He will be smiling when he’s looking down from heaven seeing you fish. Condolences and prayers sent.

I can understand your feelings of that empty spot you need to fill. Believe me when I say your dad lives on in your heart and your mind. I'm sure he's smiling down upon you and and the family. I can say this as I lost my dad to cancer Dec. 22, 1991, and not a day don't go by I don't think of him. We'll be Praying for and your family in this time.

Sorry for your loss. Rejoice in the fact that y’all enjoyed each others company, not always the case. Great pics of you and Dad.
