I have been stocking up on buckets and things to start buildiing some structure. I had a thought today why no use all your card board boxes to put your cement in. See i have a medical company and get many different size boxes. So are the boxes good for making stakebeds and things or should I keep saving buckets?:cool:

only prob i see with cardboard is that it wont hold much cement before it falls apart
Duct tape the box good, and you can use them just the same. It can't be real thin cardboard though..
Put a plastic bag in the box before putting the cement. It makes it easier to get the concrete out.
i personally go to the dollar store and buy a bunch of the dish tubs for washing dishes and use them they are quite cheap and work well and can be reused
boxes work fine. my only problem with them is i can only consistently get them outside of the liquor store. They arn't that big, so the base isn't that large of an area. The best one is a big crown royal box. they are big. With in weeks of dropping the condo with cardboard it dissolves and is gone. You would be amazed how much cement you can put in an empty box. Try and make it a little stiffer (less water) than soupy....I think someone called it static pressure. Less water and the box can hold it up fine.

You can get box's from walmart, the clorox box is a good one, and there bakery has icing buckets that they might let you good have, I use to get them.
I ask the bakery to save them for me, and gave them my phone number and they would call, but it might be just one bucket a time...hehe

Yeah I used to work in the bakery, this guy used to come get the buckets for his Cock fights, I have gotten some from wally but that icing brings out the ants this time of year.:eek: Big fire ants ouch:eek:Quote:

if you have a landscaper nearby they usually will have a lot of the plastic pots that the plants come in and they have worked well in the past for us---Knappy
