Here are a couple more of my EP fiber minnows. It's hard to tell but they are very thin...almost see through. I need your input as to the shape and if anyone has worked with this material. I know it's not just a tail and chenille that most tiers do but I think it has some real potential. Give me your thoughts please.Attachment 498453
The profile looks very similar to a Threadfin shad or little gill which would be great. How do they look wet?
They slim down when wet and look real good. Very life like I think. I'm stuck down here on this island and can't crappie fish till I get home in May. Going to be there all this summer so am hoping to drop the water level.Quote:

Cool. Those look a bit different than mine. I have been tying EP fiber on the top and the bottom with very little fiber and working up towards the head. I think those others are wrapped around using a dubbing loop or a brush. I tried some using that method at first but it made a pretty thick round shape. This is flatter and thin.Quote:

From my understanding certain materials in white become transparent underwater so tyers will tie up mylar or similiar material to the shank to mimic a bait fish.
