Cold water fishing

Got out yesterday for a few hours. Skunk was off after a few minutes with a bluegill. A few minutes later I hook a 12" rainbow trout and while fighting it their was a huge swirl and something big grabbed my trout. Had it on for about 30 seconds before it let go, pretty sure it was a bass but never saw it. Even in ice cold water that fish was wanting a trout dinner. Nice catches. Here I am at a trout river but bank fishing on it is almost nonexistent. Of course plenty of wade fishing but I no longer do that.
