Tradition continues.
For more years than I can accurately remember I’ve either hunted or fished on Thanksgiving morning. Never scored big when I hunted but the morning is always my favorite time of day. Today was no exception and I took NiNo along for the ride. As usual, no fish were kept. The day started calm, cool and slow but the temps warmed pretty quick. The fish took a little longer to get wound up but it was a textbook wake up on their part. Started with some smalls here and there and then got some that would’ve kept. By the time we left the big girls were chewin and we got several over 12” up to 14”. NiNo got excited with some of the big ones. We finished the morning about 10:30 after starting at about 7:45 with over twenty five fish to the boat and we lost three real gooduns close to the boat. I honestly lost count at 22 and there were more to come after that. A good trip that I’ll remember for a long time. Thanks for taking the ride with NiNo and I and I hope y’all have the best Thanksgiving ever. I know I have a large list of things to be thankful for with still breathing at the top of the list. Til next time…..Skeet
