Spare spools....NOT a bad idea!!
Hi, all! Just dropping by and want to share i found it very advantageous to swapping spinning reel spool, especially when its cost prohibitive. JDM spools are expensive but not as expensive as buying another reel just to use different lines( Braid vs Ester vs Fluorocarbon, etc. ) I also found out by switching spool one can save up to 10g off the reel, like this 13 Daiwa Certate with 17 Presso Ltd spool:Attachment 496095

These reels spools are 5g apart. Like Randy says in one of his YouTube videos, "10g might not be a lot", but to a finesse angler it's enough.
I on the other hand I don't mind the esthetics as well:Attachment 496097Attachment 496098
Lastly the biggest advantage for me is being able to use these spools on a saltwater capable reel body like my venerable 13 Daiwa Certate with Magsealed bearings when heading towards the beach. Thanks for reading!
