Old Habits are Hard to Break
I have a fishing partner that we have been fishing since our teen years. We are both in our 60’s.
We began fishing together filling ice chest with limits of bream, catfish, bass, and yes even spring time crappie. But in 2000 I got bit by the crappie bug and never looked back. My opinion just better toco’s.
About two years ago I introduced him to fishing year round for crappie. The bug bit him hard but he continues with much frustration. He soon after purchased forward facing sonar. But frankly not doing much better with it because he loves the bank where he has fished his entire life.
So old habits are hard to break. I will never look for a better fishing partner. It’s more about the friendship and hanging out together than what we put in the boat or catch.
So if you have a friend who loves to fish remember it’s about the friendship more so than the fish.
We talked about this yesterday, if you’re a bank hugger nothing wrong with it, save yourself some cash on forward facing sonar and cover as much bank as possible because they are a few hanging on certain banks and enjoy time on the water. As he said LiveScope want put them in the boat and we left it at that.
