I'm confused with location

Please help my old disabled brain. I am fishing a 900 acre lake with very little brush. Just some blow downs. The main channel is just a narrow creek with a 5ft change in depth. No docks. With 60° water temp, I lean toward targeting deep points. Right? Wrong?

Unless your lake regulations forbid it I would be dropping some yoapon tops at different depths along the main lake points and along creek channel.

I find my crappie on Flats. Crappie on flats are looking to eat.
