Where are they at?
Went out yesterday and played with an underwater camera, interesting. A few little fish came up to check it out, however I was not quick enough to get their picture. So I went out this morning and all I could catch was this little bass. Where have all the crappie gone in this little lake. I've been asked that question by more that one person. Seems like ever since they lowered it the last two winters the crappie have dissapeared. Well all I can do is keep on trying.Attachment 494645

Might be laying on the bottom. Sometimes they are hard to see if they are.

:hesaid, this time of year I would tend to think they are feeding more shallow. Find the baitfish most likely you’ll find the Crappie as well as other species. JMHO

Small lakes and ponds with easy access can't handle a lot of pressure and if people are keeping the crappie they can be fished down to wear their aren't many left. Since Covid in 2020 there are a lot more people fishing then ever before which leave less fish in the lake. My two favorite crappie lakes have been fished hard and very few slabs are left. My guess is the crappie in that pond went swimming in some grease.
